Hehehehe...I had a rifle once that shot patterns rather than groups...It was an early tang safety Ruger M77 in 7x 57.....I sold it to a friend after telling him that it shot 4-5" groups at 100 yards...He didn't care because all he had ever used for deer were smoothbore shotguns with slugs and it sounded like pretty good accuracy to him...He shot a big 10 point with it the first season he used it...

Thats going to make Difference to Plus what others have said . Yes. I like to walk up to target every 2 shots, and inspect. I shot again this weekend and am very pleased with the results. I will clean the gun tonight, and shoot 5 more times next weekend.
Larry
First I would use a rest to take as much shooter error out of your shots on the range. Next I would try something in the 130gr range. Something like Hornady SST or eldx maybe Remington corelocks these are made for deer size game
airedale
Shooting rests and benches can run significant money but there are some options that work great and are priced reasonable. The Caldwell tack driver is a winner and does not break the bank. There is an unfilled version that can be had for under $20. Al
Nomad
I have an old picnic table and some sandbags to dial in with . Then all our practice is off hand , I can’t recall using a rest in the woods , unless leaning against a tree counts . At least half my gun deer have been from drives and pushes of some sort , and those “ rests” that come on my big ladders I remove as they get in the way of my bow .
Doc
If I am trying to check out the gun or the scope, I use a bench, sand bags and take as much of my personal inaccuracies out of things as I can. If I want to see how shaky and wobbly I can be, I shoot off-hand. 2
Just Lucky
It worked out well for me this year with that gun. I shot 4 times and killed 4 deer. Filled my buck tag, my doe tags and a doe tag signed over to me.
