RichZ7
I know a lot of guys are probably upstate gun hunting the past few days but I was wondering if anyone has been out bowhunting in Suffolk. I was having good action but all of a sudden its like someone threw a switch. I was out half a day Thursday, all day Friday, half a day on Sunday and all day Monday. Not 1 deer did I see. I tried different stand locations each day still nothing. I did talk to other guys who hunt the area I'm in and they are all not seeing anything either. Anyone else having the same disappointing results?
meatmuzzy
im thinking lockdown? thats the only thing I can think of as to why the sightings would drop so much. Its right on time for Alsheimer's rut prediction. My bro in law didnt see anything either and he was in a good spot with tons of deer. SilentStalker
The full moon may some impact. X2 - I've always seen less deer 3-4 days on either sided of the full moon.

NYDeer
The moon, and crazy temp swings may play a big factor in this.. It's coolest at night, and with all the moonlight, the deer are probably active then. Anyone still have any game cams out in the woods?? What are they showing?? retired2hunt
Spent the past two days on the Island and not much moving only saw a few does. I think its the moon personally but Ive been hunting the mornings. My buddy arrowed a nice eight this afternoon at 4pm. He said it was just cruising and he grunted him in. RichZ7
Thanks for the responses guys. I was thinking the moon might have a part in it also. I planned on going out this afternoon but this wind today is ridiculous. I'll probably still go out and get blown around up in my tree. Better to waste my afternoon in the woods than at home right? LOL Continued good luck to all and Happy Thanksgiving.
Karpteach
My co-workers husband killed a 6 pointer on Monday morning. Said lots of movement in Riverhead.
