Gobbling started 2 days ago!

Had a Tom behind my house around 9:30 am gobbling. Also yesterday afternoon around 4 pm a bunch were gobbling back and forth. 

Not missing the opener this year!

Today I put my domestic Royal Palm Turkeys I raised from last year outside in their summer pen for the first time. It was not long before a war of gobbles between my Toms and the local wild bunch took place with a lot of strutting a couple of hundred yards apart, things are going to be interesting around here.

I haven't seen, or heard a turkey in my area yet.  I don't know what happened. 3 yrs ago we had tons all over, now nothing.

I see toms all day and hen's in the afternoon, quite often in Erie County. Wouldn't surprise me to where the hens are sitting on eggs. Not a turkey in Niagara.  Must be the higher taxes sent' em south.

Just had a bunch of hens come by the yard with two Toms on their ass. Good luck to the youth hunters!

I know over the years, the turkey population has dropped, here on the farm. Have better habitat  also. Areas, just over the boarder in Erie County where I see 50 birds, now maybe 10.

I was hearing some gobbling in the woods behind the new house a few weeks back, but not a peep in a while.

Just  let the dogs out and Bam gobbling behind my corn field. That is where I'll set up tomorrow.

Gobbling up a storm around here, my Royal Palms are gobbling non stop and the wild birds in the woods answer them.

I had a chance to trade a hundred bales of hay for a trio of  2 year old Red Bourbons a while back.  Didn't figure the turkeys were worth 300, and I don't have to feed the hay.
