Another fine day to be out. Overcast skies with a bit of drizzle, maybe lake effect. Light west breeze.  Fun time of the year to be a deer hunter.

I hadn’t seen a “shooter” till Nov 1, last two hunts first bucks were the shooters. Just luck sometimes, all 4 deer I got with bow died within 30 yards and watched them fall. That will never happen again. I’m tapping out till gun, with the exception of taking my son. gonna save my dmp and pa doe tags. Probably transfer them to my kid or dad for the dmp.

Farmer showed up started cutting the corn, so pulled the plug and be back out on weekend. Nothing showed while in the stand.

Once again nothing tonight. All cams just showing small bucks. Big boys are locked down with Does. Has to be.

A friend just send me pictures of a 120” guarding a bedded doe in a field, two other bucks circling them. I’d say you’re right. This weekend they should be lookin for that second doe.

Windy out here. A lot of movement early. Bucks gone into cover by 6:30.

Back on the hill in 6n in an area affectionately know as the old spot. It's kinda an area where I used to hunt a lot when I was younger. Brings back a lot of memories . No sightings so far. Good luck to all those out.

Had a little excitement today got eyes on a big doe but it's a no doe zone. Also had a guy shoot between my hunting partner and I leading us to believe the other had shot. My partner bumped into him said he was shooting at a big bear.

Heading out in the am with my dad, and son if he feels good enough to go. If not I’ll sit where I have a direct line of the whole field and watch. I have a doe tag but am not interested in filling it. If my son comes we will be in the blind with the decoy and tarsal glands of one of my bucks. Made 30 lbs of Pasquale’s sweet sausage today also.

Brother got this nice 8 pt tonight. Chasing a doe. We have him on camera the night before doing the same thing. 30 yards xbow. Pass through shoulder. He said it did a back flip before it died. Crazy.

I snuck out of work a little early and got into my private lot in 6g just about sun up. I think this is a better afternoon watch but it's only 15 minutes from work so I thought I'd give it a try. Nothing moving so far but what a beautiful morning. Good luck to everyone out.

My son and grandson are hunting the whole day in Geneseo . I am going to do an afternoon hunt there and change the camera batteries . So far my son has seen 9 deer but nothing close enough to shoot with the crossbow . My son shot a nice wide rack buck on his property yesterday in Italy Valley .

Have had quite a bit of chasing going on the last two mornings. A 6 and an 8, I haven't seen before . And of course the young spiker checking the doe bleat.

Tapped out for the am, was colder than expected with the north wind. Going back out around 2 probably.
