First-light
Bailey my 2.5 year old Curr has been favoring her left leg for a week. I bought supplements and been giving them to her. She has a hard time standing up after laying down for a while. Today I took them for a walk for about an hour she was absolutely fine. We get back to the house and she is now favoring both back legs, won't lay in her bed and pretty much wont move. That is not to say if I take them out she won't get up and pee. She is a big dog with long legs. Eat and sleeps well. Thoughts? I'm thinking making a vet appointment? airedale
Is it the front or rear legs that she is having problems with? Rear legs could be an indication of a hip problem. Front leg-shoulder limping is many times a sign of Lymes disease. Al Edited Wednesday at 02:00 AM by airedale

Got up stretched, ran outside came back in all happy. Still need a vet check I think?
Moho81
2.5 years old and going on a week now.... Time for a vet check up. Could be as simple as a strained muscle but why worry about it might be.

Daveboone Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM You be asking, so you know it is time to get it checked out. May very well be just overdid something, but if it is unusual for her, worth getting it checked.
mowin
As mentioned.. hip issue. Could be Lyme, but all of my dogs just don't act right as far as spunk or activity.
First-light
Doc thinks its a ligament/muscle issue. On some anti inflammatories for a week. Rest and needs to lose 10 lbs! Don't we all! Thanks everyone.

Don't we all! Thanks everyone. Sounds like the best outcome. Tough to try and get a dog to rest though. I remember one time my Lab had an issues and the Vet said she needs to rest. I just kinda laughed because that dog didn't know what rest was.
