I do most of my hunting within The Catskill Park and although not required, I've always worn mine..............I never thought of it as a major inconvenience.

 

I've never felt it to be an inconvenience either, I have noticed it can make some noise against a tree if you turn the right away and that would be my only complaint, bu it's minor. Just that it really didn't make sense. I keep my license on me in my pouch for proof. should be good enough.

You know something too, we bitch a lot on here about the government controlling us and telling us what to do. Could you imagine if this was a new proposal? 3/4 of this site would be up in arms about the government being ant-hunters and trying to track us and what not... but because it's been around forever we just accept it.

I am all for taking unneeded laws off the books....this should carry over into other areas....there sure is a ton of bull shit laws on the books.

not needed in the Catskill Park or The Northern Zone....so what's the point of requiring them everywhere else?

I have never worn one, and I am not about to now.  That is because in the northern zone, we do not have to.
