grampy
A very generous member on this site (phade), recently sent my grandsons, 11 and 13 years old, a trail cam. They have both spent a lot of time in the woods with me the last few years. Though they both enjoy the outdoors, the younger one, Zac is just nuts about deer and hunting. So this being their camera, we decided Zac would pick the first spot to place the cam. I let him lead the way in our woods out back. I told him that he was to pick the spot based on what he knows about our woods. So he did this all on his own, picking the exact spot, and even hung the cam himself. Thanks phade from me and the boys. #1- Nice doe #2- Up and coming buck #3- Same buck ? Not sure what do you guys think? #4- ?? #5- Can you find the deer? #6- My grandson Zac Edited July 26, 2015 by grampy
DirtTime
Awesome grampy! Great pics. Thats how we teach, let them lead and then just guide them when they get off track!
First-light
Nice job and it looks like the cam was hung high in a tree. Way to go Phade!

grampy
There is a stump in front of the tree. He stood on the stump and got it about six feet up. Said,he didn't want the deer to see the cam. At 11 he's learning fast!
phade
Looks like a good first soak! Only one tweak to that cam set, probably moving the cam to face slightly more to the right to take advantage of that open area. Other than that, it was a great first set-up! He nailed the nighttime flash being centered on the area where the deer move. Good to see he got a buck on cam, too. Those are always fun to get!
grampy
He was so excited to get a buck on his cam. By his excitement, you would think that little buck was a booner!
G-Man
Nice, I would turn the camera up the trail a bit more is all, give little better pics as it would cover trail longer allowing for more photos Esp if deer is walking fast
