Yeah, Fearthebeard...In most areas, rutting activity comes to an abrupt HALT the first few days of season, at least during daylight hours...

By the way, did anybody ever tell you that your head is on sideways ?...<<grin>>....

With the gun, the trick unfortunately is that over the years observe and pattern the hunters, and use that info to figure out where they will push the deer. Then set up an intercept position at the most reliable escape routes or areas.

I love using those two legged animals to push for me while in stand , the deer are always 50 yards in front of them and they never see them !
