ididnotvoteforobama
Over the years ,I've had limited success . Small spikes and a few 4pts. come in , look around then leave . That's about it , but I still blind call , rattle , you never know.
wfmiller
Blind calling with a grunt call is not gonna work a lot, it can I've had it work, but you have to remember, grunt calls are not that loud, they have to be close to hear them. You are better off rattling blind, I've had great success with that.
nyantler
I've killed numerous bucks by blind calling... I use mine like a turkey call. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Other than your weapon of choice, the grunt call is the most valuable tool for killing bucks. When tracking I have used it to get a buck that I know is bedded somewhere nearby to move so I can locate his whereabouts before I get busted

jmg343
I always have a grunt tube or can or both with me. I do call blind, a lot. I can't say it has worked very often, but it has worked. It has worked very well for me when I was able to see the deers reaction as I called to them.
Hock3y24
Can works better for me

I've also watched bucks chasing does at that distance and could hear the buck grunting. The only time I grunt softly is when the buck is close. bartman9
Are there any particular grunt tubes that seem to be working best for you?
ApexerER
I have tried blind calling for years. It has never worked for me. Last Sat morning I hit the grunt tube a few times then the rattle bag. Less than a minute later I had a 5 pt behind me. He got a arrow through him...I honestly have no idea if I called him in or if he just showed up because I never saw the deer until he was 10 yds away.. nyantler
Are there any particular grunt tubes that seem to be working best for you? I have used nothing but the "True Talker" for the last 20 years... can do all the vocalizations with one call.
Tio1
I call blind frequently and have been successful. I use True Talker grunt tube and Primos Bleat Can. I like to do series of calls every 30-45 when breeding cyle is consistent with tending grunts and doe bleats. The_Real_TCIII
I have a true talker but man that thing doesn't reach out at all. It sounds good up close though
upstate
I've used both grunt and can blindly, with success. When I got my first can I had forgotten about it because I was so excited my first waterproof parka had worked so fine during a cold front coming through. I decided to play with it when all of a sudden there was a 10 point on a rail to my stand, full trot. Took me all day to find him. Lesson, stop a moving deer before you let arrow fly. NFA-ADK
Yes it worked for me. He came in after using a doe call then one grunt. This was the story if interested. http://www.nyantler-outdoors.com/calderone-buck-2013.html I grunted one in today but he needs one more year and he will be a brute! If they are close just don't overcall they will pinpoint you! Even today I only used the call 2 times with only one grunt in 3 hours on stand.
