grampy
We are all set to start calling yote's right after Christmas. This will be our first year calling. I assume my 7mm-08 deer hunting gun will work just fine for coyotes.

grampy
Like to give it a shot myself grampy. Never tried it before. We have lots of coyotes! So the first couple hunts will be pretty easy I think. The learning curve will start once they catch on to us. I think it will be fun to do and learn. Just got a electronic call , a motion decoy and learning a couple mouth calls. If you get to our neck of the woods, moog, you are more than welcome to come along! moog5050
That would be cool grampy. I assume these are all late night hunts?
grampy
This is all on private land. And we want to go out in the early morning or late afternoon to get started. As we gain experience we will move to night hunting.

silent death
It's almost the same tactics as deer hunting...just be scent free and watch your backs coyotes always cirlce downwind....ive found that hunting more at night right after deer season is best but once deer season is over for a while the coyotes will start moving more in the early mornings between 5 and 730 ish ...the magic hours at night are between 12 and 3....i ain't to far from Berne and westerlo .and there's alot of yotes around Edited December 17, 2015 by H4W

DirtTime
Your 7mm-08 will get the job done just fine. A scope that gathers a lot of light is a plus from what I understand. Do you guys sell the pelts or just after them to lower the population? just a question no more and no less.
Steve D
I doubt he will be selling them after a 7mm hit
