letinmfly
I purchased this one for my nephew and he really likes the gun. I've also shot it and it's very accurate and there doesn't seem to be any issues with the shells feeding and ejecting properly. I believe it was just over $200. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/BoltAction22/925.asp
camper4lyfe
My bro-in-law and I both really like our Remington 597's. The only thing I've found with it is that they don't like hollow points, and the Remington Thunderbolts that came with mine (Dick's was running a deal) actually jam, so we've been playing around trying to find better brands. fasteddie
I bought a Marlin semi-auto M60 at WalMart a couple years ago for $105 . The guys at the Gun Show wanted $140 for the same 22 . I wanted to get one with a clip but got the tube fed model . I prefer the American Eagle hp's . I found the Remington ammo really dirties up the action and gave what I had of that away . I still have 1 1/2 bricks of the American Eagle ammo . The darned stuff goes for about $25 a brick now . Check Dicks for a deal on a 22 cal . Larry
gowith the rem 597 or ruger 10-
Santamour123
Go with the ruger 597 are noted for clip issues. The 597 has a channel in which a plastic fallower must fallow to return to the tops. The sometimes hang up.

nyantler
As far a a 22 shell goes.. I have always used CCI's or CCI mini Mags... they don't coat their shells and they never seem to have a problem ejecting... I have a touchy S&W 4" .22 auto pistol and it will only eject the CCI's

Caveman
I've got a Ruger 10/22 my friends call Frankenstein because I built it out of the best parts of three guns. It's a great, reliable little gun for around $210 at Dick's. Best .22 out there for the money in my book.
