Aside from the politically correct nonsense that has brought this change about, and the expense that will be incurred by the tax-payers as a result, I'm glad she was chosen over others, because she was a hard-ass, gun-totin', full-blown Republican in the face of Democrat atrocities of the time. It waits to be seen whether the PC crowd that 'voted' on this will backtrack on their position once they read some history. I'll give it 3...2...1.

I don't think too many people really care who's face is on what dollar bill. I would bet that expect for who's on the one dollar bill very few people can tell you who's on what. Especially since most transactions today are done cashless.

as far as I'm concerned someone should get fired for replacing the figures on the $1 and $5 bills.  no person in history has come remotely close to justify it.  I get and support putting a women or different race on our currency though.  I also think for the sake of conversation and telling the story of our history front to back (if there truly would be one where we're headed) should go together and not be based on who would care more about removing something which seems to be the way they're doing it.  I realize what I said is a bit contradictory because someone or something has to go or move.  just saying you can't half-ass change a currency that's respected and clearly recognized throughout the world.

Lincoln memorial on the back is somewhat redundant.  take independence hall, white house, treasury etc. and make them smaller to fit other stuff on either side.  back of the $1 bill to replace the "ONE" in the center with something and leave the masonic pyramid of left and seal on right.  do the same 3 photo scenes on the back of the others.  that's what I think.

nothing against oprah but I'd puke.  shouldn't be in the same conversation as those of Tubman and others like her.  has she bought unfortunate people things to change their lives? yes, but that's not real sacrifice compared to the others.

we try real hard to keep those special folks but there's definitely some in every country.  can't fix that.  I'm a just a simple redneck but can still wrap my head around someone like Tubman being on currency is a good thing.

The word "Bald" is demeaning to bald people, "Falls" is demeaning to physically handicapped people, who may have trouble walking on their own, "Hood" is a racist term, saying "Marlin" only , discriminates  against all other fish (or firearms) and the word "grand" leaves out all lesser Tetons!!!……..
