Yes he did dream it would get this bad.. thats why he said it... and the liberal progressive mentality wants to take away the american label and move towards being globalists... one world/ one people... that is why its important to fight back hard for the original conservative values our fore-fathers fought and died for... the more we have allowed liberalism into society (since the 60's) the farther we have gotten from what this country originally stood for almost 250 years ago

Actually, leftists have been trying for the downfall of the "true" American Dream, freedom, individuality, equity of attainment, which doesn't necessarily mean equity in outcome, individual sovereignty (we are our own king, our home is our castle), etc.

The new paradigm is to accept the globalization, and collectivization,  of all people. I have a very funny feeling deep in my gut that there are at least a couple posters in this group who wouldn't have a problem with the Progressive collective American Dream as envisioned by avowed, and unrepentant, communist, Van Jones, and the Barry Hussein (WhoseInsane, or HuJinTau, take your pick) Obama-Soetoro administration.

Maybe some should stop complaining about liberals, government, etc. and actually go out and make your OWN American dream happen.  If you only sit in front of your computers bitching about everything under the sun it surely won't happen! LOL  As much as some complain about liberals sponging the system, those on the other end of the political spectrum aren't doing jack $#!+ to advance themselves in any way either.  That is why I always say that those on the far left and far right honestly deserve each other.  They are both cut from the same mold.  They only bitch and do nothing to better themselves.

Nah as I have said in other threads, its way easier to stand and point fingers instead, its easy for them to forget that they are the fathers of the current generations that are "ruining" America. Besides getting red in the face and ranting on the net, they affect nothing.

Once again, a total lack of understanding is obvious here. 

People my age have already made it in life.  We are looking forward to retirement and enjoying the fruits of our labors.  We worked all our lives and earned everything we have.  We have no need to take any more than we need, we are more interested with giving back to this country, the country that has given us the opportunity to succeed.

We also see that the country we grew up in, worked in and made our fortunes in, is no longer the same.  We see the crippling problem of entitlements and the unsustainable debt it has created as well as the government subsidy of parasitic lifestyles.  It is our desire to bring awareness to the situations that are bound to cause your generation lots of suffering.

The children that we have raised are well schooled in this same awareness and have been protected from the political indoctrination into the brave new world of socialism the left has done it's best to stuff into their brains.

Alas, not all parents had the luxury of time, the presence of mind, or the parental caring to protect their spawn from such a progressive "education".

I have made a great life for myself and I consider myself far right and very conservative.. if I have a bitch it is that I'm sick of those that haven't made that same kind of life trying to take away what I have worked so hard to achieve

Good for you guys, I'm glad your kids turned out great and I truely do wish that we had more good parents acrossed all generations.

Here is a little tid bit for you..

The average age of members of congress and the senate is between 56 and 62. Aside from a money spending machine of a President, they are just a guilty as driving this country straight down the gutter as you see it. What are your age's again?

And the the battles being fought in Congress are between the Conservatives and the Progressives.  Unfortunately the Progressive types come in all ages.  And when they take power they tend to ram all types of socialist legislation through, that gets them voted out in the next election, leaving the Conservatives no choice but to waste time trying to undo the damage they have created.

Imagine how bad things would be if the average age in Congress was 30 to 40.

Here's a spending chart of recent years.  Republicans were in the white house for 8 years before Obama and had control of both houses for 6 of those years.  Do we see government spending go down in any of those years???  Both sides are equally guilty.  The left wastes on the welfare side while the right wastes money on the war machine.  Both sides have their own ways of brainwashing the masses to think the way they want you to think.

I agree Arrow....I wish they would treat our budget like my household budget....don't spend more than you earn....put some away in good years to cover the lean years. Instead they run it like a guy I grew up with who was driving a car that had loan dollars in it from 2 cars before. Eventually you have to pay the piper
