Rain...

Since the rain started almost 2 weeks ago.. we have received around 3 or 4 inches. I scratched a plot the other day and the soil was moist yet. perfect seeding conditions. Plus with these quick rain showers everyday or so.. germination has been great this year.

Believe it or not, it was to muddy to plant my second plot today. The stand on the first planting is beyond my expectations. Happier than a frogs hair in February, LOL. We have had slightly over three inches of rainfall since July 22 to this morning.  Looks like maybe more tomorrow with a 70% chance.

Keep it coming! We have a pond to fill. 15000 square feet of grass seed, acre and a half of clover mix, and a 1/4 acre test plot of Austrian peas all planted last Saturday. An acre of brassicas planted the week before.

Glad to see the rain.

Not sure where abouts you live, but we had a quick real heavy storm roll through here Monday evening, plus some more rain yesterday. Looks like some promising small storms in the next few days as well!

Fall plots should look good for most everyone i think. Now fingers crossed we get a little more around the First of September for some cereal grain and clover plantings.

In the above thread post,  I said we could use 7 inches through the month of August. They say to be careful  what you wish for, LOL.
