How come uploaded photos are on their side

How come uploaded photos are on their side?  What can be done to correct this?

Believe they are uploaded the same as they are stored on your cell/PC!??! Could be wrong!

I tried turning the photos 90 degrees and loading but still the same.  They were shot vertical from the phone as well.

Are you using an iPhone ? I found that I had to take pics sideways and the. I'd post them and they'd be ok. Now I post them using Taptalk and they post fine

I explained this before . If the height of the photo is more than the width , the photo will be sideways . I edited a photo that Larry 302 posted by cropping it and here are the results . Note the sideways pic 1st .
