Someone I know took this pic in Putnam County. For the experts, what are your thoughts on this bear? Youngin?

Not many bears shot in Putnam county each year. Some years none. Cool to see one. I hunt about 4-5 miles from this pic.

Hard to tell from that angle, looks like an adult by body size.

Can't tell space between the ears or size of head.

Looks like a nicely filled out bear walking right down  the street....

Yea I just messaged the girl who took the pic, asking how many acres she has lol. I doubt she has enough to hunt on.

Just to compare this is a 2nd fall male bear and not that filled out body size. He has the wide head and front shoulders but, pretty skinny in the body.

She only has 1 acre and neighbors not much either, oh well. Hope the bear wanders 3-4 miles in front of me on 11/5. Would be cool take it with Xbow from the geound

Bear have something like a 20 mile radius or something crazy,we'll within your range.

Males have a potential range of 20-60 miles depending on food, shelter and human impact. This holds true of the Adirondacks but not sure down your way
