Salmon_Run
I live and often hunt in Saratoga County, please check yourselves and your dogs for tics. I have been picking them off my dogs every night. They are really bad this year and seem to be in full swing right now.

airedale
The Ticks and Fleas both have been horrible this year, I have never seen anything like it ever. The permethrin solution as mentioned above works as good as anything and is cost effective when you are treating several dogs. Most good farm supply stores carry the 10% solution, below is the mix ratio so it can be applied on dogs. To Kill Fleas & Ticks on Dogs - Dilute 1 part concentrate to 99 parts water (1.28 ounces per gallon) (0.05%). Using protective gloves (mitts), wet the animal by dipping or spraying. Reapply every 30 days, if necessary. I also got some of this clothes spray by Sawyer for myself. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ANQVYU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Al Edited October 25, 2016 by airedale

The deer I killed on Saturday in northern PA had at least 15 engorged ticks on it with at least another 10 crawling around. That deer hide never touched my truck. Big fan of the bumper-mounted skinning cranes after Saturday.
