This has very little (basically nothing) to do with the Indians in ND, and a whole lot to do with the failing and falling of Democrat power in DC. Look closely at who's protesting and who's organizing.

I seem to recall that Jill Stein was arrested for protesting the pipeline in ND not too long ago. I wonder how much of the $7 M she raised to contest the election results will be donated to the people she cares so much about.

I'll give Stein credit. She ran a helluva scam right out of the Clinton playbook and she's going to walk away with a 7-figure bank account in the end. Bravo, you Socialist scumbag, bravo indeed.

I haven't followed this closely but I assumed obama would kowtow over any supposed victim group.

The pipeline wasn't going on Indian land, and the river it was going under already has a couple of pipelines under it.  That negates the issues the protesters claimed to be fighting.

This was an organized, systematic, dishonest scam that was orchestrated by Soros and Buffet to prevent that pipeline from taking over the oil business that Buffet's railroad transports now.  He makes millions from it and was not about to let that slip away.

All of the violent agitators, that drew heavy handed tactics from the authorities, and were video taped for the propaganda value, were paid to be there and cause violence to occur.  The lap dag media was very happy to broadcast all of this phony protest crap with the goal of making clueless Americans support shutting it down.  (I'm sure the media was also well compensated by Buffet for doing so)

The clueless in America have almost become the majority.  If not for Trump's election, I'd say they were the majority now.

There's a bit more to it than that, but you're basically correct. The retention of the "Obama legacy" and the continued relevance of the Democrat party also come into play here, and who knows where that might take us.
