wooly
Wasn't expecting to see any of them for another month or two around here! Cool shot, and hopefully a sign of early spring! Where abouts?

hunter49
TCIII, they are there all summer, in the dead trees around there also. If I put fish guts out in my back yard they are on them like stink on s#!+ & they eat every thing, all gone by the next day. I live about 2 miles to the east of there.

Rattler
I think they stretch out their wings like that when they are wet and they are trying to dry them out. I see them doing that after every rain storm around here.

I shot a skunk & before I got to move it the next day they had it gone, nothing but the skin left! I don't think a person could have done a better job fleshing it! wooly
Grab your camera, lay down in the snow, and squirt some ketchup on the ground around you for some good close-ups. I've always wanted to try that with them, lol
