Hell I feel the same way after every animal I hunt. After countless deer and turkeys and many others I still get excited no matter the animal whether a doe or a monster buck. If that ever changes it will definitely be the day to retire from hunting

That is what it's all about right there! If ever I lose my excitement for the hunt, I'll hang up my hunting hat for good. At this point for me, hunting with young hunters renews my excitement. Seeing the wide eyed, shaky legs, stuttering voice, when they see a deer coming in is priceless.

I remember my first buck when I was 16. Wide 6 point, shot him, saw him go down. Went to stand up and fell over my legs were shaking so bad. I still get the shakes
