grampy
Nice evening, so my grandson and I took the wheelers for a ride to the back of our farm property. Checked a couple stands, cut some paths to some ground blinds, hung a couple of cams, and just enjoyed being out there. Saw a couple bucks together, no pic, and this old gal. Everything looks good! My hunting buddy! This is his year for the first deer!

dbHunterNY
honestly the anticipation and doing that stuff can be just as fun as the hunting at times.
virgil
That's really cool. I'm looking forward to having my seven year old with me while hanging a few stands this weekend.
NFA-ADK
Looking forward to seeing your progression with him! Dumb luck often hits the new hunters, I hope he gets clobbered! Good luck!
grampy
We were back out this morning, brushing in ground blinds. These two have been very productive over the years. Both are in the hemlocks with natural funnels bringing deer through the area. The last pic is a box blind overlooking a field we let grow over. The field borders a very thick swamp. A great gun spot. Being out, doing stuff like this with my grandson, passing the torch to young capable hands, is almost as much fun as hunting !
