So hubby did get a pheasant but isn’t giving Bones credit :-(

If you meant Otis then no would not be allowed to go. Both are rabbit dogs I just think that Otis needs to stay focused on rabbit since he is young. Not sure is I am right on this but he is mine. :-)

Very good looking dog!!! Beagles normally don't have to be trained for pheasant. Most that run them start them on their own. I had one that started himself on pheasants and grouse. One thing you don't see a lot of is beagles that run birds. But it does happen.

With the pheasant population the way it is he more than likely won't start running them.

Ahhhhh, poor Otis. How can you say "no hunting today" to a face like that? And giving you those take-me-hunting-eyes! LOL
