zeus1gdsm
Have a cam over a scrape that popped up. Got a nice sequence of a Fisher. And then this deer came through this morning. Looks like a fork on one side and a single on the other. But it looks kinda wide for a 3 point . 2yr old with bad genes? Zuke
I think it’s at least a 4 point, just tough to see with the lighting and background, but, I don’t have my glasses on either so I’m not 100%.
New York Hillbilly
I agree at least 4 point. Right side looks like may have small browtine as well.
G-Man
Looks olse than 2.5 can't see body well enough but in sound guess bad genes vs old deer on decline as I do not see jowels that would indicate extreme age or a deep sway back.. Would be a target animal in my camp for sure as it is mature..
LET EM GROW
Hard to tell anything in the pic, but i think i see more than 4 points on that rack. Kind of can make out brow tines, and a g2 where you think there isnt one.. I would also guess more like a 3.5yr old..
zeus1gdsm
What are chances he will come back through? Catch him tomorrow morning possibly?Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
zeus1gdsm
Came through at 745am hit the scrape. About 20 yards from my blind but the blind is facing the other direction into a field. Can't shoot the area behind the blindSent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
LET EM GROW
No idea, a doe can bring him back if hes not a local buck. lots of things can happen whether you see or don't see him again.. but the time of year is in your favor. especially if you have the does. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk 4 1/2 years old, 219# dressed. He was the dominate buck on my property and I never shoot or saw a rack buck on my property until I shot him. The very next year I shot a 3 1/2 yo 8-point and killed several 2 1/2 @ 3 1/2 yo bucks in the years since. To be fair. I watched him for 3 years and from a distance, his appearance changed little. He was very large body-wise as a yearling and had a wide 4-point rack. Definitely "bad genetics"
chas0218
Looks like a nice 2.5 year old 6 point to me. It's really tough from that angle to see if there are other older buck characteristics. I have a 2.5 year old chocolate racked 5 point running around big body little rack. In the area I saw him has next to no graze and mostly woody and acorn feed. zeus1gdsm
Well I'm gonna go sit the morning tomorrow. And bring in another blind to put on the other side of the field in the Wood lotFingers crossed.Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
WNYBuckHunter
I actually think it looks like a pretty basic 8 point 2.5 year old. Its tough to see, but I outlined what it looks like to me.
