I’ve been hunting Quebec for spring black bear for around 13 years and killed a good one every time. Those pics were from a few years ago but they never get old. After reading this thread you guys gave me the itch to get another trip going. I generally like the first week in June or just leading into the second week as the rut is usually in full swing. One year I seen 22 bears in 2 days and I don’t think I’ve ever hunted longer than 4. Yes that’s actually a 6 gallon metal bucket. It was great because if you started dozing off it made some loud noise when they knocked the lid with rocks on it.
