Bear makeover

I ran out of wood again, so I was digging through my scrap pile and found one of my first ever bear attempts that got tossed and was waiting to be burned.

Figured I'd try to salvage something from that meaty chunk of wood and came up with this rabid coon.

The tail looks a little too long to me.  Lop off the last (4) black stripes and it will be just about right.

Ahhh..., the goal isn't to make them 100% anatomically correct, rather to make them recognizable and interesting from any angle.

The extra length helps to identify him from the other side as well.

Another sweet piece! I actually liked the bear too... As far as the tail, it looks perfect the way it is. Wolc prob just wants to be able to see the parts he dreams of frying in his skillet.
