Nah, just strap that sucker right to the gun. Crank it down tight, 60 ft lbs should keep her tight.

Don't forget the red locktite...

I was thinking  of using  those at first  but  didn't like the looks of that.

Got a front fiber optic  beed for it that helps still want to add to it.

Brass bead looks higher than the optic bead, no?

the fiber optic is .125  higher then the beed its  just the camera angle that makes it look lower

When you look down barrel all you see is the fiber optic  that  actually works good .

I probably should try some  slugs with that new fiber optic with three reference points that it has  maybe one will line up  dead on with a slug   then I just have to watch for elevation.

I just wanted to play around with  making a  mount and that red dot I had lying around .

Just a  science project not something I would hunt with .

For That I need rock solid mount as  you guys already mentioned.

I just emailed  the manufacturer ask if they can drill tap or or recommend somebody around here that does it .

They started making them after the fact pre drilled and tapped which sucks  they  didn't offer that when I bought mine .

I think I may be the one who gave them that idea.  :)

I accidentally ran over my 870 barrel years back and bent the barrel pretty badly.   At 50 yards it shoots 8  feet to the left but I've learned to adapt over the years ^_^

Sound like it could be good to shoot around corners or behind a tree  want to sell it to me :)
