WNY Bowhunter
Great looking buck with really nice G4's. In my opinion, he's not quite a 150 " deer (not that it matters at all)...but man, he would be a stud next year!!! Good luck with him. 33Canuck
Nice buck as usual G! I'm not sure that is the same buck from last season to me he doens't look like he added alot of inches and he really doesn't appear to have put on much body size both deer look to be 3yr olds to me but both have good looking genetics either way it will be a win win if you get to see them through the peep. I would put the velvet 10 in around 135-40ish, a 150 inch buck as you know tends to look really big in velvet I'm not sure he is quite there but maybe and there is only one way to find out for sure! Geno C
i want to post a deer to see what he scores in at but i dont wanna get the ginx lol. But in the beginning of July hes was mid 130s, this dude put on some inches in a few weeks!
nyantler
joe, used that buckscore program on him and came up with 151... i guess you do know how to score horns Been doing it long enough... I was hoping I learned something
G-Man
I should state buckscore is + / - 10% for view and velvet ...but i know hes mature..
msbhavn
I know he is at least five years old because he was at least two when I first saw him. That would make him five this year.
DIAMOND D
we passed on this 2 year old 10 pt last season.. he survived... WOW, nice deer. You are a better man than I, passing on a 10 pointer.
gjs4
Awesome deer, and principal. It works well...and that is all NYS big bucks lack- age. I wouldve guessed the big 10 to be 5.5yo due to back line, gut position and the short front leg look....the 150" rack helps. Just my two thoughts though. Awesome deer and job with your approach
Va2
No way will that 10 go 150.......
WNYBuckHunter
No way will that 10 go 150....... Actually it should. Take a look at Culver's 9 from last year, which scores in the mid to upper 140s. http://huntingny.com/forums/index.php/topic,5454.0.html Heres a pic of the same buck in velvet (2nd from last post) http://huntingny.com/forums/index.php/topic,5234.msg64618.html#msg64618 The buck in this thread has a bit longer G2s and G4s and the brows are taller. 150s all day long. WNY Bowhunter
No way will that 10 go 150....... As I stated earlier, he's a great looking 3 year old but isn't 150 class...I'd say more like 130-135. I bet he'd hit 150 next year though!!! My estimates: mainbeam: 21 G1: 3 G2: 6.5 G3: 7 G4: 4 Mass: 16 Total = 57.5 x 2 = 116 + 16" spread =

The difference between Culverts buck and that buck is about 4-5" of spread and probably 8"+ of main beam. Not trying to get inot a Pi$$ing contest on this becuase it is a great buck but helping guys field judge bucks is a major part in QDM. The Velvett 10pt will go mid to upper 130's maybe low 140's but maybe the G-man can clear this all up come october 15th
