burmjohn
I dont, but did they have any effect on your arrow flight?
wdswtr
I used to use them for the looks but found it quite hard to keep the fletchings on them without tearing off. Maybe glue has advanced enough since then though. That is a cool wrap anyway you look at if fasteddie.
fasteddie
No effect on flight and no noticable affect to FOC of the arrow . I forget how many grains one weighs . As for fletching not sticking well to them , I put the wrap just ahead of the fletching .
landtracdeerhunter
I've been thinking of using them , but understand their hard on a Whisker Biscuit's life.
WNYBuckHunter
They are fine for WBs. Your WB should not be tight on the arrow, and wraps arent very thick. I made some arrows up with them, but have since gone to new arrows and the wraps have fallen by the way side, as I dont have time to build my own anymore. Doc
They are strictly for decoration, right? I mean, are there any functional reasons for arrow wraps?
Deerthug
I just use them to help find my arrow after the shot.
fasteddie
I just use them to help find my arrow after the shot. Especially if the shafts are camo . I always thought if was foolish to buy camo'ed arrows and then not be able to find one after the shot .
Deerthug
Used to use Easton aluminums that were camo and always lost them or it took forever to find. Now I use CX black with fluorescent yellow wraps and blaze orange FOBs and CX lighted nocks. If I can't find them this season then I'm getting blind as a bat. Lol. WNYBuckHunter
They are strictly for decoration, right? I mean, are there any functional reasons for arrow wraps? The ones I have are reflective, and come in very handy if you miss a target and have to search the bushes for your arrow. Just wait till it gets dark and go out with a flashlight. UpStateRedNeck
I just use them to help find my arrow after the shot. Yeah this. My hunting arrows all have blaze orange wraps and fletchings, thanks to my buddy who is 3/4 bowyer and 100% awesome.
RangerClay
They are strictly for decoration, right? I mean, are there any functional reasons for arrow wraps? Yup! It is easier to see blood. I get white wraps with white blazers. The color of the blood and the amount on the wrap helps to tell me if my arrow hit home. They do not affect your arrow flight and they do not rough up WB's They have helped me on numerous occasions to find lost arrows. Got mine custom made from Onestringer.com , Mindy does awesome work. By the way Eddie, your Marine wraps are cool!! Edited September 26, 2011 by RangerClay
