I still feel like those plants need more water, it’s incredibly dry out. I’d flood those few plants to just before washing away soil.... BizCT
Does anyone use tomato cages for squash to keep them vertical? I see online people do, but not sure if it’s too late and don’t want to injure the growing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

crappyice
I did it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Nice. It may help to dig little trenches around your plants to make sure that water is getting to the roots and not running off. We need some rain. I’m amazed at how much better plants grow with actual rain water then with hose waterSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BizCT
Still no rain all week forecasted and 85-90 with max UV index. Should I be watering garden like 1-2 straight hours with sprinkler? I legit think we got like 1/2” of rain only the past 30-40 days. Awesome weather but not good for garden I assume Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Awesome weather but not good for garden I assume Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro This week I have watered each day until I had standing water, I did this each day since its so dry out. I will do the same this week, and I have noticed a big positive difference. The normal watering habits I used prior to this dry spell, just wasn’t cutting it(slower growth). I would say run that sprinkler about 20-30 minutes, then take a little shovel, and dig a hole here, and there and see what you got for moisture a few inches down at least. As Crappy said, might need to water a second time which is common sense for this weather.
