Monday morning update. Things look good. 2 pics here. One is biggest jetstar tomato so far. The other is my green zucchini. Looks super healthy to me, but should I start to see something soon?

The black muck soil in my garden and the neighboring farmer fields has killed my crops as well as the farmers... it dries out fast and draws some serious heat.. corn fields are dead, and my garden is too... Dont think there is any saving it. Sad!

Above cucumber I started inside...these seeds I just sprinkled a few weeks back. Nice to have same plants produce at different times ..extend the production IF the indoor plants survive (looking scrawny)

Yankee bell peppers are coming in. Plants aren't loaded but doing ok. Shishito peppers are loaded it's going to be a good harvest. And about five snakes that scared the shit out of me.

Jalapeno are just starting, everything looks good except for my eggplant which is losing a battle with bugs

Slugs might be the reason your eggplants are struggling. Take a empty cat food can and pour some beer in it , then lay it near your plants. Check it in a day or two.

Both green squash. Why does plant shoot straight up and the other lays down? Both look healthy

They all look wilted to me like they are starving for water.

Cory - you have some pest damage there. I'd research options. The DE mentioned can be an option, as would some organic and non-organic sprays and powders. To me, you also have some nutrient deficiency based on the coloration of the leaves and curling.

Lowe's sells a vegetable garden bag of fertilizer for $10-15. It's 5-10-5 but also has some of the micro and secondary nutrients. I'd look into that as an option.

Biz...that looks like you have some soil challenges if you are watering properly. Not enough OM and water holding capability to keep the roots intaking water.

The pics i posted are deceiving as i did not water this morning and it was blazing heat midday when I took the pic. everything except that one pepper plant is a deep green in person, and they all keep growing at crazy rates. 2 of my tomato plants are close to 4 feet high already.
