What A Performance!!

What a morning I had.  As I was getting ready to head to the local hardware store to pick up a specialty light bulb for a kitchen ceiling light and mail a package (late, sorry Tony) to a forum member I got a text message.  It was from a very good friend's younger brother, wondering if I knew of anyplace that sold venison and if not, would I sell him some.  Seems his teenage old son had a hankering for venison burgers for his birthday this Thursday.  Well I told him that no, I didn't know of anywhere that sold it but I was heading out and would swing by with a couple packages, gratis of course. 

Well I grabbed two packs of ground and a package of Costanzo's Reuben sausage too and fired up the Toyota.  On the way to the hardware store I called a friend that I talk to each day, just to see how things were going for him.  He manages some commercial property in the area and we chatted about all the issues going down.  Just out of the blue I said "hey, we have no hand sanitizer at home or in our vehicles, do you have any?"  He said swing by......... 

I snagged a couple of handy little bottles for us to keep in the vehicles (we can wash our hands in the house) and a pair of N95 masks.  We were not as prepared for this as I guess we should have been.  Woulda a thunk it?

THEN, after dropping off the meat, picking up the PPE and then the hardware store, I was heading home and I noticed this guy walking down the main drag that looked familiar.  I swung around and pulled into a driveway and asked him (2012TacoTim) if he needed a lift home.  Seemed he just dropped his truck of at the local garage for some repairs and was hoofing it home.  Against both our better judgement, he jumped in the passenger seat and I took him home. I pulled up in front of his house (so his wife wouldn't see us sharing a cab) and he said "hey, do you like Jack Daniels?"...........does Howdy Doody have wooden balls, HELL YES I like JD!!

So he ran in and grabbed a bottle he recently won at a NWTF shindig and handed it to me, THANK YOU TIM!!!!!

What a day, could it get any better?

Get the ball moving a little bit in the right direction and before you know it its coming back around to you. And you re covered! In a pinch you could knock back the sanitizer if you were desperate and I suppose wash in the whiskey. On second thought . . .
