johnplav
For whatever reason there’s rarely turkeys on this property. Might have to give turkey hunting a try this year. Also got a pic of my trail cam helper.

johnplav
There was a lone hen on camera last year. Other than that almost no turkeys. I’m not sure why... There’s are no close water sources (within like 500 yards) besides occasional puddles. Do turkeys even need a consistent water source?? Also, the place is overrun with foxes and raccoons, so that may keep the turkeys away.
johnplav
Looks like he was strutting just out of the frame. And I’m assuming this is the same one? Pics are from the same day.

G-Man
Birds had decent hatch and lot of Jake's around as well you maybe surprised at what is around. Bird will leave an area of high disturbance by dogs, or people. Long distance scouting is a good tool to use on small properties
LET EM GROW
Can be multiple birds.. they roam around a lot more than people think.. I just read an article some may have seen that showed all the roost locations a bird was using in a given spring.. the area was Huge! alot has to do with weather conditions, nesting conditions, food, habitat etc.. If your camera has video try it for spring turkey .. Especially if it has sound.. You'll get some pretty awesome footage
