Chucker. most likely escaped from a game farm. We used to shoot them out at Ringneck in Darien.

It’s near where a peacock escaped last year so very possible.  Hearing the peacock in the spring turkey woods was definitely different. Daughter n I laughed while trying to be silent

Chukar. My family hunts them back home in Europe where we're from. Very commonly used for bird dog training, so thats probably why you saw it

I love going there, its been a couple years. Last time was with the new owner Jamie, shes a cool gal!

Chukar Partridge,  dog trainer down the road has them for training purposes.   Always a few that gets away.

Saw wild chukar while in Iraq. Really wanted to shoot one but probably would have had a good talking to if i did lol.

Its been sold again and now  a gentleman called Curt  owns it.
