InstaCart scam going on

I know some of you are using it right now . Yesterday the delivery lady screwed up and left the receipt in the bag . After their fee and the amount we tipped ,we were charged an additional 25.99 for our groceries(200 dollar order).  Makes sense why they never put the receipt in with the groceries.  We are still trying to find the reason for this.

It's absurd that they are keeping the tolls functioning ,just turn the tolls off til this is over . It's stuff like that, that proves where this state really is during all this.

This state will be in such bad shape when this is over (?) that they better keep the toll money coming in.......they'll be going up too.  Send it!

My son who is a part time school teacher  is working for instacart. I personally  dont know how it works . I know he gets mileage.. tips  and a percent. He is pretty adamant. He gets a list to be purchased can text the buyer for substitutions that the buyer  must change and agree to on there end . That said it sounds like something on instacarts end.

I wonder if the receipt gets rung up with the actual in store price then adjusted to the instacart price somehow and what you saw was the actual in store price as if you went there and made the purchases yourself. I know when you buy through instacart the items cost more per item than if you bought it in the store.

Last time I tired instacart and couldn't get pick up or delivery I ended up going to the store myself. my instacart price would have been $188 and when I did the shopping I bought everything on the instacart list plus a couple items and my total was $155.

Instacart is convenient in times like now but you defiantly pay for the convince.

Thats the problem ,instacart decided that my groceries cost 25.99 more then what the store was charging . That's also the reason they dont leave the store receipt in the bags so you have no idea how much it cost from the store and are unable to see what you were over charged by instacart. For this particular trip ,after fees and we tip well ,it cost us 65 dollars to have groceries delivered . I will no longer do my part to social distance when it come to grocery shopping.

Correct Instacart charges more which I knew because they do say the prices are slightly higher than in store but they do not tell you how much more. I was honestly shocked when my bill was $30 dollars cheaper by doing the shopping myself.

Now to some people $30 to not have to go out right now maybe worth it and to others that $30 could be 2 less family meals that they can get.

My wife has been doing Wegmans and Walmart pickups, and I've still been going to Costco.

She checks over the receipts and said there haven't been any issues with the pickups.

Although yesterday she said she had bananas on her receipt for like $3, and the guy brought one sad, single banana out to her car.

She noticed right away and he went in and grabbed a bunch for her.

She was laughing about it and asked Who buys one banana??  I responded crudely.

I heard it was a 15% markup on each item purchased....but it may be slightly higher based on what Mojo and Jeremy have experienced.
We do Walmart pickup......items are the same price online as they are in the store. Sometimes they are outta stock of certain items, but since this all started we havent gone hungry because something we wanted wasn't available.
