Campfire Coffeemaker Recommendations

Looking for a coffee pot (probably a percolator) with a bail handle to hang on a short shepherd's hook over the fire. Does anyone have recommendations for a good one?

I have been using one I bought from Campmoor many years ago.  It's nothing special and can't be hung over a fire.  Hell, it'd probably take all day to get it perking anyway.....

I had a sweet vintage Corning percolator  that I lost in a breakup, I sure do miss it. Not her.

Why not a simple French press. Heat the water however you want, pour into coarse ground beans, wait 4 minutes, press and pour

Just take a regular pot, dump in your grinds, add water heat to desired temp. Pour into delicious cowboy coffee. The grinds at the bottom of your cup are just an added bonus snack

It’s a simple effective and easy to clean tool. Nothing fancy about it. The easiest way to make a cup of Joe. Years ago I had one at my desk at work so I didn’t have to buy coffee each day before the days of free coffee.

Hmmm.. The "French Press"....That sounds like something that FIFI  used to do down at Mabel's House of Pleasure....

Ours at camp no longer has the logo on it but we use this one. It isn't placed on the fire, we use a propane stove but it has the handle for it and makes the best coffee IMO. Many Many pots through that thing.

A number of years ago we got a real nice very well made stainless steel percolator with a bail from Cabelas.Check out their camping /home dept.

I ended up buying a beat-up old Comet Percolator on eBay, supposed to get it Friday. I'll have to give it a shot this weekend.
