Sure Fire Wind Direction Detector

So yesterday afternoon I went out with the muzzleloader and once I got in the woods I was trying to figure the wind directions to plot my strategy. Observing the leaves on trees gave me a pretty good idea but what sealed the deal was as I was standing there looking around I took off my hat and my warm shaved bald head immediately let me know the wind direction accurately. Been shaving the old coconut since early summer and have become a huge fan and discovered another of many advantages of a shaved head.

Lol, I’ve shaved  my head for many  many years and after reading what you posted. I’ve noticed wind direction changes on my head many times in the stand.

Bald guy agrees, it gets chilly checking wind with your head.... I use milkweed.

Cant beat milkweed but I still have some hair.  lol

Eat pizza and hot wings the night before, then grab a Stewart's egg and sausage sandwich on the way to your spot. When you let one rip you'll know if the wind is right. If you smell it for more then 10 seconds the thermals are not in your favor.

I use a combination of an app WillyWeather and milk weed. The app helps me pick the location where I want to hunt and the milkweed dial my set up
