I’ve always filleted My fish but I’m no expert at it and I feel like I’m losing meat on smaller fish. Good to know that I could fry them as is and we are good to go. Thanks.

Of course brotha!!!   Caught one small brownie at the pool. Mainly fished the willowemoc but had no luck there.  Good times tho.

Dang ... nobody fishing ?  I love fishing the willow. I have caught some nice browns out of it . Probably  the best stream to get a triple on . Brookies brown and rainbows .

There were some people there.  It got more crowded towards the afternoon.  
 

This was my first time fishing there.  I fished from livingston down to roscoe stopping along the way. The willowemoc seemed shallow. Maybe 1 foot in most spots.  Is that usually how it is?

Water looks low by a foot  or better for junction pool at this time of year .  Willow doesnt get very deep most places compared to most rivers .

I was out this morn. Went to my favorite stream.for browns and it was about a trickle.  Didn't get a thing.

I got a triple in Flatbrook it was pretty cool and what a neat area to fish

Trout dont have scales- well, technically they do, but so small that there not really considered scales.

Went out this past Wednesday and did some nymphing on the E.  Fishing was slow, overall, but did manage a nice 12" Brownie

I've posted about that spot before,
It's called lost city. Apparently the govt bought a town with the intention of flooding the area but never did. The buildings and roads are all overgrown

I scale browns and rainbows but not brookies.  The scales come of easy with just an easy pass of the knife. Brookies are a char and really don't have many scales to speak of.

May is in the books and on a new stream. I ran into a load of stickers and caught 25+. I even doubled on back to back casts. There were a couple wild fish too which was cool

I stopped at a true wild stream as well and it was easily the prettiest water I've fished in NYS. Couldn't buy a fish! Tough getting flies in the water. I'll go back when I have more time as I know it holds some real nice fish
