Geese starting North ?

The past few morning there have been several small flocks of canadas headed back North in the area. The robins are out on the bare lawn and it sounds like spring today with the song bird chatter out the window.

Is it spring ???? Any one viewing any snow geese ???

I've been seeing tons of Snows in the Bethlehem, PA area, wher I've been working lately. I had a phone photo of about 1000 of them in one field, but I can't find it on the PC now.

That's ridiculous ....... standing room only ..... lol. I have never seen as many geese as I have this year. I don't think very many of them are going very far south this year.

I agree with Doc, I think many of them have stayed through the winter right here in Western NY, as we have barely had any snow or ice cover this year. I have noticed some starting to head north the last couple of weeks.

They never even flew down here this year, weird weather I guess.

I saw my first turkey vulture today near erie pa. thats the sure sign of spring to me, geese never seem to leave anymore.... won't be long before i'll be seeing them along the tracks in ny

Turkey Vultures never left this area. Big flock of them stayed right near my dads place, probably 40 or 50 of them.
