I’ve got 5 in various sizes, this one is the oldest and has been abused the most. From bull reds and Cobia to bass and trout this old reel has never let me down! They’re definitely my favorite spinning reel.

That was my go to salmon reel for years when fishing the lower river. Anyone whos fished the lower river knows how much tackle gets abused making the climb up and down. I had to make one little spacer that cracked and replaced the clutch pack once ,other than that it was solid . No complaints whatsoever. The nice thing about those reels is the parts are replaceable.

Stradic is a great reel. If you are using for salt water make sure to rinse with fresh water when done. The drag is not sealed and it will rust

I have had 4 Stradic 4000FGs on Teramar rods, on the boat for about 5 years now, down here on the Gulf coast of Fl. I fish inshore at least a couple days a week for about 6-7 months a year. I keep them cleaned and lubed and change out the drags once a year and they've been work horses.
