The article states “Top Pentagon officials said Wednesday that the U.S. military does not “have the capability” to retrieve all Americans who have been unable to reach the U.S.-secured airfield in Kabul as the State Department continues to negotiate safe passage with the Taliban.

First, why did not the Pentagon prepare contingency plans ahead of President Biden’s failure dealing with the war in Afghanistan?  Who is in charge at the Pentagon?  Were those military people waiting to hear from draft dodging Joe Biden?  Biden was a do nothing in the Senate for almost fifty years and is hardly a "military operations" expert.  The incompetency of the Biden administration is astounding.

Second, now the State Department “continues to negotiate safe passage with the Taliban.”?  The Taliban is a terrorist organization that hates the United States of America and anyone who does not obey their religion.  Will we see a private plane loaded with millions of dollars flown to them as ransom like former President Obama did for other terrorists (https://www.cnn.com/2016/08/03/politics/us-sends-plane-iran-400-million-cash/index.html)?

The article states “On Tuesday, Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan defended the administration's policy, saying it was doing the best it could to quickly respond to the chaotic withdrawal.”

Now that’s the truth.  The Biden administration “was doing the best it could” which is a failure.  Biden and his administration are a failure.

The article states “Milley told reporters at the briefing that “there was nothing that I or anyone else saw that indicated a collapse of this army and this government in 11 days.”

Does Milley know that the Afghan Army allows its soldiers to desert without punishment?  Biden stated the strength of the Afghan Army was       300, 000.  Maybe on paper they were 300, 000 strong, but how many actually showed up to fight for their country?  The news has been filming many young Afghan men running like it was Black Friday and the mall just opened the front door!

The article states “Biden said the Taliban is "cooperating, letting American citizens get out, American personnel get out, embassies get out"

Biden states that the Taliban is “cooperating”.  Since when?

Should we really be helping Afghans come to USA ?

They  have some cultural differences that if Americans new about  would find shocking ironically even the taliban were against it . Its a family site so I will not get graphic but you know  Michel Jackson and the kids well over there that thing is the norm .

Ironically   the taliban put a stop to it that was even to much for them .

Makes you think who were we really fighting for over there .

Following in the footsteps of other totalitarian regimes, the newly-empowered Taliban has taken to disarming Afghan civilians as one of its first orders of business. The Afghan capital of Kabul fell to the Islamist militants on August 15. By August 16, the Taliban was already confiscating civilian firearms.

A Reuters item from the 16th explained,

Taliban fighters in the Afghan capital, Kabul, started collecting weapons from civilians on Monday because people no longer need them for personal protection, a Taliban official said.

"We understand people kept weapons for personal safety. They can now feel safe. We are not here to harm innocent civilians," the official told Reuters.

The Taliban’s fear of an armed populace is understandable. Prior to the U.S. invasion in 2001, the extremist group ruled over the country with an iron fist. The population was routinely abused for failing to live up to the Taliban’s religious edicts with public punishments including, beheadings, stonings, and dismemberment.

There are recent reports that the militants are already going door-to-door seeking out their political adversaries. Reuters reported that in the city of Jalalabad the Taliban opened fire on protesters attempting to replace the group’s flag with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan flag, killing three. Other reports described a scene where women and children were beaten bloody outside the Kabul airport.

Like other despots, the Taliban understands that firearms are a means to political power. Thankfully, in the U.S., those means and power are held with the citizenry. All those who support a free society should work to ensure it remains there.
