It sounds like a horrible accident. I don't think you know enough details to make a claim like that.

Kinda have to agree with Chef... Kinda. We really don't have all the details, but it definitely sounds like the mentor didn't use good judgement as to the bullets path.

In the story they use the words "child" and "minor" a minor is 18 years old or younger. No arguing but that is a fact. Need more details on the story.

To me " child" is a youth hunter that has to have a mentor.

Sounds more like bad luck on the shot persons part. A bullet that was shot at a deer and travel's  300 yrds more and hits you in the head is just dumb luck or fate. Bullet with your name on it!
