Yes it was not about race it was about religion.

Although blacks and some racial minorities were killed as well

The Holocaust was about building a superior Aryan race + society and all, meaning everyone and everything that didn't believe in or was deemed an opposition to achieving that goal, was eliminated or suffered under their reign of terror.
