  1. maybe 3 or really good 2year old, try turning the camera 90 degrees, he didn't get old by being dumb. the big ones i get on cam learn to avoid the camera by walking behind it or off to the side of it, sometimes a simple turn will get u another picture especially if its in a funnel area where they have to walk through it.

  2. You are exactly right Muzzy. It has actually caused us to change our clover mowing schedule. In years past that first early summer mowing was usually done while standing and peering over the hood of the tractor. Finally after dozens of near misses, Mike finally hit one. It's not a good feeling. He actually took the fawn and had a full body mantle mount made that looks fantastic. Anyway, although our clover suffers, we've concluded that it's better to leave that fawning cover and mow later in the summer.

  3. Hey Dom, love ya but I have learned and it is true that there are no 4-5 year old spikes. If you look at the DEC pdf of harvest data they show a graph with the number of points and age which clearly show this. Also this was in the letters section of the Outdoor news- issue before last. Dick Henry DEC Biolgist was quoted saying he had check 28,000 deer and had only see one two and a half with a fork horn. All the others had more points. He teachs aging in the area if you want to check it out.

  5. Morning Dom, I don't always get responses to my statement or questions either. I figure people don't know how to respond or they just don't care. You should be proud of all your kills no matter what others think. continue as along as you enjoy. Have a great day

  11. Been hunting Delaware County for 40 years. Seen good times and bad. Past 20 have been not so good with the loss of most of the farms. The AR's will increase poaching and decrease the overall number of hunters. I believe DEC gave out too many doe permits and the yote's are killing the deer. I would support one buck rule and cut back on doe permits. I believe this has all been brought on by TV and the I only shoot 150+ deer with long G2's and all of this crap. Yote's should be killed year round, no season. I remember all of the bucks I killed. Spikes and all. And I am proud of them all. When did we start needing a lease, tractor, food plot, camera, feeders, climbing tree stands, blinds, sentblockers, doe piss, and all of the stuff TV says you need. Used to be Jeans, long johns, wool jacket, good boots, work gloves, watch cap and your rifle.
