  1. I was going to stay out of this...until the last post...seeing I received some pretty nasty responses from a few on here when this was brought up before...That said.. Mike... that's all well and fine ...but if I have a weapon...which I now carry at all times on my land now ......and a dog runs at me...with my past court history...police and DEC calls...and medical bills...The dog will be dropped and I have no concerns of legal ramifications...See a hounds man could own a 2 million dollar dog...but when it is on my land and is an unknown threat to my personal safety...I retain the right to protect myself period...

  3. GNRC just got the ball rolling with his post so I thought I'd add fuel to the fire. Here's two videos I shot a few years ago but they still get my blood pumping. Sorry, but I posted these vids on another website and if you've seen them my apologies! Backstory - I shot the first video opening day 2010. I'd booked a client for the first 3 days of the season and he called last minute saying he couldn't make it the first day. Poor sap he was somewhat ticked when I showed him what he missed! Second vid was a year later, nice vid of some toms strutting. 29 days to go! Enjoy! Take a child hunting or fishing!

One day they are walking down the beach and see a beautiful young woman sleeping naked on the beach, a victim of a recent shipwreck They stand gazing upon her for a moment, and finally one lawyer asks the other.. " Well...Should we screw her ? " The other lawyer answers .. "Out of WHAT ?"....

  7. Since I missed out on the full weekend sausage making marathon with my friends back in February, I thawed out my venison and started on my snack sticks. Yesterday morning I ground everything up, mixed the spices and cubed up a couple of blocks of sharp cheddar cheese, and put it all in the fridge. Tonight after work, I mixed the cheese into the meat and stuffed it into the casings. Heres the result, batch one of snack sticks, ready for the smoker tomorrow night. The second batch will get stuffed tomorrow. Not sure If Ill use cheese in those or not yet.

  14. I am not sure what you have on your farm or on surrounding properties, but clover is king in my book. It should give you 5 years if done right, deer, bear, Turks will enjoy it... and it is pretty easy to grow and affordable. I tend to use generic ladino clover... and have had great success.

  15. In a week or so, we'll have a nice warm rain. All will turn green. Turkey season will be upon us. Watching the woods green is always nice. Prior years thoughts always get me through these, not so nice times.

  16. Generally speaking, what you are saying is true, but party affiliation is not the yardstick to use when placing your vote. The votes on anti-gun legislation are public record. Use those records to guide your vote. If your legislator votes in a way that is contrary to your wishes, That's the one and only reason to vote them out. Not party affilliation, or the fact that they are incumbants or any other reasons of that sort. Make it plain that you are punishing those that ignore your wishes, with a vote for their opponent. And then, follow that up with an e-mail explaining why you voted against them so they know just who it was that defeated them and why.

  17. Yup, pure bs. If you look at what the government buys, its 223, 40, 357 sig. Why is there a shortage on everything else? Hmm, because we are hoarding ammo. Plain and simple.

  19. Any of you guys thought of the AR15/AR10 "80%" lowers you can finish with a simple drill press? No serial #'s to register, and legally at the federal level you have the right to own any gun you manufacture as long as it is not for the purpose of sale or gift. By completing the lower to 100% you effectively are the builder, and did so within your own home for only personal use. BAM! suck that safe act... BTW idk if its actually a LEGAL way to circumnavigate the Assualt Weapon ban in NY with the new SafeAct, i just know its how a lot of AK47's were built with the reciever flats and parts kits back when i was in highschool and trying to one up "the man"

  22. Thats not the SAFE act. That was a preliminary bill that was revised. This is directly from the safe act and makes no mention of tools, etc. Better check your sources before you hand out information that could lead to someone ending up in jail. 23. It's getting to the point where it might be useful to set up a spread-sheet or some kind of document to keep track of the creeps that we have to vote out in the next election. But whatever it takes, we have to remember who must go ..... besides Andrew "Crazy-eyes" Cuomo.
