  1. I never realized how fun fishing for catfish could be. I'm not much of a fisherman but I never fished for them until last year. The neighbor across the road from where I hunt has a nice sized pond and it's got a ton of catfish in it. He's kind enough to let us fish his pond. My son caught these in a couple hours of fishing back in July. We tried hotdogs as bait as some recommend but it seems like we caught more with plain old nightcrawlers that we bought at Walmart. Surprisingly they aren't bad to eat either.

  2. A couple of years ago my youngest son started to show interest in riding motorcycles (I ride an old Kawasaki). I told him I'd look for one for him. He's a new rider. We agreed it had to be safe, reliable and somewhat cool. "Right up my alley" I'm thinking. Enter a 1983 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD D5 into the show. Story and pics to follow.

  7. The owner never moderated much when he was around. Hence all the others he had. It’s all irrelevant at the end of the day.

  8. Turn signals are a work in progress. The hardware that came with the bike was not original. They function as turn signals but I need to replace the fronts with dual filament units for riding lights.

  9. Brianna’s Law, named after Brianna Lieneck, an 11-year-old girl who tragically lost her life in a boating accident in 2005, is a significant piece of legislation in New York State. Let me break it down for you: Purpose: Brianna’s Law aims to enhance boater safety by requiring education and certification for powerboat operators. Boater Safety Course Requirement: Technically, no license is required to operate a boat for recreational purposes in New York State. However, all power boaters, including those operating sailing vessels with auxiliary power, must complete a boater safety course.

  12. We saw a dog running away when we were heading into the second stand of the night. It disappeared over a hill, so we kept going, but we decided to split up to cover more ground. This dog came right between the fields we set up in and I had to wait till it got into a safe area for me to fire. Medium sized female.

  13. You have all winter to build a nice hickory long-bow, and then you'll have a 100% homemade traditional outfit to take a deer. What a thing that would be, to hand make your own traditional, historic hunting equipment from scratch and then take a deer with it all.
