  1. Just wanted to show these off and brag about my stepfather some. Tom's newest hobby is a little leather craft. He's been showing me bits and pieces of his work the last couple times I've visited. I found the old knives in my cabinet. They were my grandfather's knives that I'd saved years ago. Neither had a sheath so I asked him to make me some. I stopped by today and he was proud as punch to give these to me. He even thought to dig through my camping gear stored at their place, find my hatchet and made a cover for that too. Tom will be 75 in a couple days. Don't know how he's made it the last 25 years being married to my mother but I he's a survivor! Thanks again Dad.

  2. I know when financing a new tractor purchase, many financial companies will include insurance coverage for the term of the loan, at an additional charge, of coarse. I remember it was 1/2 of the price insurance companies wanted. The loan was also 0 percent for 48 months. Payment was 200 a month. Boy, those days are gone. I sure miss the old days

  4. I guess I am going to have to get back with my insurance man.I have been told for years that my tractors and my jd-gator were covered under homeowners insurance as long as they were used for house/land matinence, not any commercial or pd for work. There was never anything stated as far as a limit on horsepower for coverage.

  5. Actually NC , its been at least 25 years I have been using it. I think around the mid 90's . At first it was all aerosol cans that were available. I didn't like them , but it was better than having the little bastids crawling on you. The spray bottles came shortly after and I never looked back. The company told me that once a tick gets on your treated outfit for 15-30 seconds it can no longer bite you. It neutralizes their system and basically turns them into a zombie. I have watched this show after I walked through a patch of high bush blueberry bushes. I looked down and had 5 freakin ticks on my outfit. I watched them and like clockwork after 15 to 30 seconds they started lifting their legs up like they were walking on hot coals. So they started to aimlessly scramble around. They all jumped off within 2 minutes. They probably died within 30 min . Gotta love being out hunting knowing you are a tick killing machine ! So if somebody asks you " Get Anything ? " You can always say ' No Deer , but I did kill 100 ticks "

  6. Permethrin is a synthetic form of Pyrethrum… which is made from chrysanthemum flowers. Its LD50 in rats is over 4000. Permethrin has some on body uses for controlling critters such as head / body lice. The EPA lists it as safe when used according to label directions. Treat clothing per label and one should not have any issues.

  7. I Couldn't find any chokes in stock that i really wanted for my 410.. so I made my own.. a .390" that is about 1/2" longer than most extended chokes. This has a longer(smoother) Internal taper, as well as a longer parallel section as the shot exits.. Hoping for more even and consistent patterns vs the industry leading chokes.. Second choke is in the works, starting tight and going to open it up .002/.003" after each shot and document.. I also have several handload recipes to sling through it. I'm quite interested in experimenting with this one.
