Steve brings up a good point, we all know it's because of perception. The gun owner community has been portrayed as bunch of rednecks. The left has been portrayed as tree hugging vegetarians. The democrat/liberal members of this forum have proven that isn't always the case as the right wingers here have proven the same. Lefties hunt and own guns, righties are not all white pickup truck driving hillbillies. I think this is where everyone gets it wrong. We cherry pick (thanks WNY) what characteristics we want to remember, all for an arguments sake. I see both sides mentioning that they can't believe how far to the right members are or how many left wing members are on the board.

If you guys really do it for the hunt and not the kill (applies to fishing too), then why not just go hiking and take pictures for one season? I'm not so sure I can walk the walk myself but find myself honestly considering.

Why was the school denying that the shooter attended? Ill bet he had a bad experience there and they know it. This whole media blame shift is bunk to divert the attention. What if he left that school in a rage and made threats vowing to come back as he did?

My post disappeared. Oh well. I tricked Doewhacker into taking me on a guided hunt. He still doesn't know he was the guide. Lol! Watched him grunt in a spike or 3 pt from 80 yards or so. That was cool. I drew but didn't let it fly because the deer bolted past me. That thing had to be 15 feet from us. Bumped a few birds, then some does on the way back to the cars. Saw more sign than usual this year in that spot. I almost tricked Steve863 too, but he wasn't back from his Kumbaya/ We are the World, world tour yet. Found a shed there a week later during gun.
