At dicks before xmas, they had signs that said ammo was limited to 6 boxes per person. Hornady SST's were 11.99. To me that's on sale so I bought some. If you guys are really all about it, you shouldn't need to buy ammo now. You should already have enough.

Call it going out on a limb, but whenever the police are silent about an investigation, it usually means there's more to the story. Dare I say there's another suspect or more info they're looking for ? I've seen this in murder investigations when they don't release much info in case the suspect slips up. Week 4 of bronchitits. (Opps did I spell that wrong?) Week 1 was fevers, shakes, cough, week 2 antibiotics (Levoquin/Levofloxacin) which didn't quite work. I went to a walk in place on a sunday just because I was desperate. At the end of week 2 I see my Dr. Who gives me Advair. He says my airways are restricted, but the bronchitis is gone. He's seeing many patients with asthmatic symptoms this season who have never had it. Yesterday was the first day I could actually exhale without that damn tickle causing a coughing fit. I can't tell if this dizzyness is from being weak or is it coming back. There's a good chance I'll be back at the Dr tomorrow. I know at least 20 people right now that have this. I'm surprised this hasn't been posted sooner.

I'm on a Burton Bullet, Ride bindings, K2 boots with the internal wire that tightens like hell. My setup is probably obsolete by now. Not like any equipment is helping me!

I say go ahead and make sure there are honest law abiding gun owners behind every trigger. I think everyone here has encountered someone that made them uncomfortable while around guns. Be it at the range, in line at the gun store, or just overheard them saying something stupid at the gas station. We've all walked away shaking our heads thinking "that guy shouldn't own a gun" at some point in our lives. How many won't hunt with people they know because they are intellectually challenged or not responsible with firearms? Like old people behind the wheel of a car. Training is key for responsible gun handling. The system is supposed to work in a manner where the good guys can actually do some good with their CC's. We let politicians put to much emphasis on the registration, not the training. This is why it's sometimes true that more guns are not always the answer. What if all the people that went out and bought AR's last week were the dumbest guys in the neighborhood? How's that going to work out for the more guns argument? Keep the registrations on the state level to ease the "government takeover" crowd and I think something could be supported. Let the feds honor all 50 states training programs and we have a start. How would you guys feel about a volunteer police organization with TRAINED citizens on call for a crisis? We have volunteer fire dept. Don't we?

I've seen these a lot upstate. Must be the way to go.

I was buying a Christmas tree for someone on Christmas eve day at Home Depot. Everyone made jokes about waiting till the last minute. They changed their tune when I told them what I was doing. Word got to the manager and they gave me the tree for free! Pay it forward...
