I agree. The only thing I would add to that is that the .308 is inherently more accurate than the 30-06, burns a little less powder if reloaded, and slightly less recoil.
Aaah. That's what I hate about the late shotgun season. What a waste. As big a bowhunter as I am I would rather them close archery a week or two early and have the gun season then.
I've been using RCBS exclusively for 25 yrs and their stuff is well made. They also have a no questions asked warranty. I broke a die years ago that was totally my fault and it was replaced, no problem.
I don't think it's a load issue. I can give you a few good loads that have worked for ME from IMR4350 but I don't think that is your problem. Great grouping from a handgun with a low power scope at 200-300 yards is asking a lot.
Lol. I wasn't going to single you out Geno. I used to spell it like that too. Obviously a little pet peeve of mine. You know, I was the 3rd grade spelling be champ!
It is spelled A LOT. Two words. Not ALOT. I see it constantly on here. Not that I'm the spelling police but thought some would actually want to know the right way to spell it.
Well, that's that. I couldn't believe he didn't even attempt a takedown. That was his only chance. I think the knees hurt him right off the bat. I'm a little suprised about the retirement though. Oh well, more time for hunting I guess.
I hunt in Meredith and it sounded like Vietnam opening morning. We shot 2 bucks and another buddy down the road shot another. All opening morning. Guess it all depends on where.
