  1. They are similar but definetly not the same gun. I had the LCP and sold it to buy the bodyguard. The bodyguard has much better sights, has a built in laser(not aftermarket clamp on) and stays open on the last shot. All the LCP doesn't. The S/W is much more accurate. The only plus for the LCP is the price and it's approximately 2 ounces lighter.
  2. Concealability/size considerations should be at the top of the list. The best gun is the one that you will be carrying all the time. For me, in the summer it's a SW Bodyguard .380, and in the winter a Glock. Like what was said before, there are lots of great choices these days. Good luck.

    New/used

Don't base you opinion on that one fossil. Go shoot a new Mathews at a bow shop, then decide. They are outstanding bows.
  4. Couldn't have said it better myself. Not the first time he spewed off a ridiculous post.
  5. You already could hunt private property with shotgun/muzzloader in Jan.
  6. My area 4O, has just been added. I'm actually a little torn on the whole AR thing. I personally don't shoot little bucks anyway so it won't directly affect me. But, don't know that I like the state telling someone how big of a buck to shoot. To some people a nice healthy forkhorn is a trophy, and that's fine. I've been hunting that zone for almost 25 yrs, and am curious to see if and how it changes things.
  7. I totally agree with Dave. Although that is one hell of a deer, think about it, it's still just a deer. Some things are more important.
  8. If that's what you enjoy doing, then have at it. I don't think you believe it's actually hunting though. They might not be pregnant in July or August, but they are in April and May and they still get shot. Shooting does with fawns is just not my thing. Besides, I don't need the meat that bad.
  9. Yeah, I've been asked many times over the years. No thanks. That certainly is not hunting, that's what I would have said to him. Killing pregnant does and does with fawns in the summer is just not cool.
  10. I always liked Lowes, especially their lumber, compared to HD. And after they took their stance against that American Muslim show, I really like them. I don't go to HD anymore.
  11. Many have called it the perfect whitetail round. I bought one for my wife a while back for the t/c as well. I loaded 140gr interbonds over 4064. Accurate. She shot a boar and a deer, both went right down.
  12. Just went on there website. The plotwatcher pro is suppose to last up to 4 months on 8 AA's. I have my doubts on that, especially in the northeast winter.
  13. I don't know. It's viewed as a time lapsed video. But it must be a lot.
  14. It's the Plotwatcher HD. I didn't really expect much more than that. It's constantly taking pictures for 9 days. Not just taking pics on motion. And it's just 4 AA's.
  15. OK, I finally got up and checked my plot watcher. I got 9 days worth of time lapsed video before the batteries died. It takes 4 AA's. I had it set for every 10 seconds and a midday skip. Nice clear images.
  16. I just bought the plotwatcher last week. It says in the manual that it won't operate properly with a flashdrive larger than 8gb. It as different settings on it, but it seems that the batteries will last about a week. Mine is set out right now, so I don't know for sure yet.
  17. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/cops_what_man_shoots_friend_because_IR2Qa7TjoW0RTOC8SwmvSJ?utm_medium=rss&utm_content=%0a%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20Local Is this what you guys up north do for fun?
  18. Aaah, thanks, but that's another step you have to go, in the wrong direction.
  19. Something doesn't sound right with that story. And I don't think a perfect shot is a few inches above the elbow. The .243 is a more than ADEQUATE round for whitetail deer. If in fact the shot placement was good, than we can only assume he was using the wrong bullet. That can be done with any caliber. I saw a moron once using a 30-06 accelorator rounds to hunt deer. I don't think the cartridge should take the blame for that situation. I don't deer hunt with my .243, but if I ever decided to, I'm 100% sure it would do the job just fine.
  20. It really depends on the average range you will be shooting. Obviously some are much flatter than others.
